Phoenix Childrens Chorus is committed to quality music education within PCC as well as in K-12 schools. This is a 3-day workshop for current and future music educators focused on research-based music teaching methods. Inspiring educator Dr. Carol Krueger will share her approach to building literate and independent musicians.

Helping students/singers become musically literate is central to the school and church music curriculum. This workshop will focus on implementing a sound before symbol approach to teaching music literacy resulting in independent musicians rather than savvy symbol decoders.

The New Bern High School Choral Booster Club (501c3) is hosting Dr. Carol Krueger for a workshop on music literacy Monday, July 15 - Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in beautiful downtown New Bern, NC at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. A description of the workshop can be found below.
