I've Got the World on a String
This wonderful chart on the Harold Arlen standard was the first arrangement Nelson Riddle wrote in his own style for Frank Sinatra in 1953. The story goes that after hearing this chart, Sinatra decided to exclusively work with Riddle. This classic features a full big band with the addition of strings and two French horns added at a later date for live performances. The added parts are purely optional. An optional synthesizer part is included and can be used as an alternate for the strings. There are no saxophone doubles, and the vocal key is D throughout. Naturally, this is an outstanding arrangement!
