Publisher Desc.  "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 is one of 19 that Franz Liszt wrote between 1850 and 1855. It is derived from melodies that he had heard in the western part of his native land, Hungary. The arranger classifies this rhapsody as one of the many Classical Tunes from the Classic Toons.it is, by far, the most recognized rhapsody due to its frequent use in cartoons, such as in The Cat Concerto with Tom and Jerry (by MGM), Convict Concerto with Woody Woodpecker (by Walter Lantz), Rhapsody Rabbit with Bugs Bunny, and Rhapsody in Rivets (both by Warner Brothers). The late Victor Borge used it in a comedy routine with a sidekick, both playing the music on one piano. The original rhapsody for piano was written in C# Minor, which then went to F# Minor and finished in F# Major. The arranger (like others before him in their orchestral transcriptions) transposed the rhapsody a half-step down to C Minor, then to F Minor and F Major (and the band thanks him for that)."
