Originally written with seven movements, English Suite is well known for its tuneful strains of folk style melodies, brilliantly presented in the familiar English style of Elgar and Vaughan Williams. Parry's work has been reworked to place it in the reach of most string ensemble and includes three of its best movements Prelude; Pastoral; and Frolic.
