At the End of the Day is an exceptional ballad solo feature for alto sax or trumpet/flugelhorn. The solo and rhythm section parts are completely written and the ranges are modest with the trumpets never leaving the staff. The lush background parts are supportive for the soloist and the key change near the end adds just the right touch to this beautiful chart. Very nice!
