The Day the Music Died

Artist: Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Don McLean arr. Roger Emerson - Hal Leonard Corporation

Commissioned in honor of that fateful day in 1959 that claimed the lives of three rock and roll icons, here's a '50s medley that combines some of the most iconic songs from Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, and J.P. Richardson, the Big Bopper. This musical tribute includes Come On Let’s Go; La Bamba; Donna; Peggy Sue; Chantilly Lace; That’ll Be the Day, and fittingly concludes with American Pie, the song that aptly named this event "the day the music died."
