Summer Soulstice is a soulfully cool ballad that features either a trumpet, flugelhorn or soprano saxophone soloist. Beautifully relaxed in straight eighth-note style, it's well-crafted with the solo parts entirely written with optional improvisation opportunities. The solo part offers interesting chord changes while the ensemble is more than a simple accompaniment. Nice, unique and more contemporary than most solo features!
