This exciting piece in a contemporary style is loosely based, both melodically and harmonically, on the semitones A-Bb and E-F.  Rhythmic opening and closing sections are contrasted by a lyrical central section.  This piece serves as a good introduction to contemporary sounds, and will be an impressive addition to any concert program.
