This exuberant setting of the first part of Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem absolutely sizzles with energy and rhythmic excitement!  The work is set in minor mode, with a contrasting middle section in major that propels the music to an exhilarating ending in which the voices emulate the joyous ringing of bells.  This is fabulous for teaching diction and articulation!  Highly recommended!
