It starts out in B-flat in 4/4 time with the statement of the theme in the clarinets and saxes. The key changes to E-flat with the theme in the low brass. The D.S. al Coda changes back to the original key with the theme in the clarinets and saxes, and the full band finishes the piece with fragments of the theme in the Coda.
