This advanced setting of the traditional Latin is scored for unaccompanied mixed chorus (soprano divisi) and is taken from a longer Missa Brevis. Syllabic pulsing rather than holding out whole notes makes an interesting texture. A church choir capable of such a challenge will find success with this striking piece.
