3x3 is a percussion ensemble for young players written as a fast scherzo.  The title comes from the fact that it is a work for 3 players with 3 instruments each.  Beyond this, it is purely an abstract work with no story or central idea; it is simply intended to provide a fun introduction to scherzo style for young percussionists.
