White Fields
"Snow is falling, gently falling in the town tonight. In the morning we'll go walking through the fields of white." With lyrics based on a poem written by James Stephens in 1915, this winter selection features canon form and straightforward voice-leading, making it easily learned and accessible for young choirs. The lush harmonization in the vocal parts and piano accompaniment are perfectly partnered with the use of the glockenspiel and alto metallophone that add an icy, tinkling texture in this sparkling winter feature. A learning resource page with application of the standards is also included.
