Bill Swick's Year 2, Quarter 3 - Intermediate Ensembles for Three Guitars
These works were specifically chosen to be used as supplemental materials during a student's second year and third quarter of study. Works in this series include: Two Guitars, a traditional Russian composition, which has an extended range to high E, first string, 12th fret and rather simple rhythms including many dotted-quarter/eighth-note rhythms; Nun Danket by Johann Cruger; Gavotte by Francois Couperin; Dark Eyes, a traditional Russian work, which has an extended range to C, first string, eighth fret and fairly simple rhythms; and Country Dance No. 7, Op. 11 by Dionisio Aguado, which has an extended range to D, first string, tenth fret, modulation from G major to C major and back to G major, and fairly simple rhythms in 4/4 meter.
